In the context of modern realities of innovation and digitalization of processes, the human resources market is undergoing significant changes, when professional skills (hard skills) must necessarily be integrated with supra-professional (soft skills). This article is devoted to the study of the relevance of soft skills, their impact on the professional growth of specialists in modern realities. During the analysis, it was determined that the developed soft competencies are highly appreciated by employers and representatives of the surveyed student youth, being an important tool for ensuring competitiveness in the labor market. The results of the author’s research demonstrate the relevance of such soft skills as communication, public speaking, self-presentation, time management, emotional intelligence, stress tolerance, leadership, teamwork, adaptability. The article highlights the importance of developing soft skills in the professional and personal spheres of life for successful interaction, decision-making and adaptation to changes.
