This study developed and validated the Cooperative Learning Competence Scale for College Students to assess cooperative learning competence in College English instruction. Grounded in relevant theories and teaching practice, the scale was constructed through literature review, expert evaluation, pilot study and main study, yielding 23 items across four dimensions. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses supported the four-factor structure, with strong reliability and validity. The scale thus offers a robust tool for measuring cooperative learning competence in this context.
