Background: Kasa is one commonest complain in day-to-day practice. Among Vataja Kasa is very vulnerable now a day and creating illness major part in the society. Vataja Kasa is although not life threatening, it troubles as it hinders the day-to-day activity of the person. In modern science the Vataja Kasa can be correlated with Simple pulmonary eosinophiles. Due to excessive intake of Ruksa (dry), Sheeta (cold), and Laghu (light) Ahara, and suppression of natural urges which leads to vitiation of Vata Dosha, mainly Udana and Prana Vayu, takes an upward course expelling other Doshas (Kapha and Pitta) abruptly through throat and produce dry, paroxysmal cough with sound like broken bronze vessel. The trial Objectives: was designed to evaluate the effect of chitrakadi leha in Vataja Kasa and to compare the efcacy with Agastaya Hareetaki. Material and Methods: On the basis of subjective and objective parameters 44 patients were enrolled and randomly allotted in two groups, A and B. Group A received 12gm Q.I.D of Chitrakadi leha with Warm water for 30 days and group B received Agastaya Hareetaki 12gm Q.I.D for 30 days. The study was comparative clinical and respiratory parameters were graded and assessed before and after the treatment (31st day). The subjective Results: parameters in both the groups showed statistically signicant results from 10th day of intervention which was sustained till end of intervention on 31st day. Highly signicant result was found on AEC in trial group and signicant result in than control group. Chitrakadi leha showed Conclusion: better improvement in the symptoms like Shushka Kasa, Swarabheda, Shirashoola, Parshwashoola and in objective parameters viz. AEC were seen.
