This study examines the phenomena that occur in the environment of Pondok Pesantren Al Falah Ploso, especially in the students' routine of reading Surah Al-Waqi'ah, using the Living Qur'an Study approach. The tradition is performed every time before the Fajr and Maghrib prayers and has become an important part of the daily activities of the santri. This research explores the objective, expressive, and documentary meanings of the practice by applying qualitative methods and analyzing them based on Karl Mannheim's sociological perspective approach. First, the objective meaning, as a form of discipline of students in the formation of 'ilmiyah 'amaliyah character. Second, expressive meaning, as a means of obtaining ease and blessings, especially in the learning process. Third, documentary meaning, as a process to foster a soul full of religious values in the daily life of students. The results show that the tradition of reciting Surah Al Waqiah helps in instilling the value of spirituality and discipline in the students. This tradition is also believed to provide many benefits, including peace of mind, ease of sustenance, and help facilitate understanding of religion. In addition, this article highlights the importance of the tradition in preserving the Islamic cultural heritage in the pesantren environment and strengthening the connection between the social life of the santri and the verses of the Qur'an.
