The aim of the study is to thoroughly examine the transformation of production and consumption models in Ukraine within the context of the global sustainable development paradigm, and to identify key challenges and growth opportunities to ensure balanced resource use. The methodological framework of the study is based on a comprehensive combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, which allows capturing the multidimensional nature of sustainable production and consumption processes in Ukraine. A theoretical and methodological analysis of scientific approaches to the conceptual foundations of sustainable production and consumption was conducted to identify relevant research directions. A quantitative analysis of official statistical data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators was performed, alongside an assessment of trends in GDP material intensity, waste recycling rates, the share of renewable energy in consumption, and volumes of environmentally friendly production. The analysis of key indicators shows a gradual reduction in the resource intensity of the economy and an increase in energy efficiency practices in Ukraine, while highlighting barriers such as insufficient recycling infrastructure, limited adoption of circular economy models, and low public awareness of sustainable consumption practices. The results obtained can be used to design government strategies and business models for the transition to a circular economy in Ukraine. Further research should focus on assessing regional characteristics of the implementation of sustainable development practices and developing indicators to monitor their efficiency, as well as refining the methodology by combining quantitative measures with an assessment of the behavioral aspects of sustainable consumption. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in their use for strategic planning of measures for the development of a circular economy, improving the environmental management system, and ESG reporting. The social implications of the study include the potential to reduce inequality, conserve natural resources, and enhance the well-being of the population. The originality of the work lies in the comprehensive analysis of the synergy between sustainable production and consumption as instruments for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in Ukraine.
