Abstract In 2025 Age Anaesthesia Association celebrates its 35th year promoting equitable access to surgery for older adults. Our mission is to improve perioperative outcomes for older people through research, education, and collaborative service development. We are indebted to our clinical community for their unwavering commitment and annual attendance at our conference. We believe that by uniting anaesthetists, surgeons, geriatricians, nurses, and allied health professionals, with patients, we can address the practical, clinical, and ethical challenges of perioperative care in later life. This year the Association ran a highly successful multidisciplinary conference in Brighton at The Grand hotel attended by over two hundred people. This supplement represents the collection of abstracts submitted as part of the annual free paper competition. I would like to thank the supplement's guest editor Dr Margot Lodge, Consultant Geriatrician at The Alfred Melbourne, and Adjunct Research Fellow at Monash University. Abstract prizes are awarded each year for the best oral presentation- the Margaret Dodson prize, and best poster presentation. The main prize honours the legacy of Dr Margaret Dodson, a Consultant Anaesthetist in Liverpool, and one of the founding members of Age Anaesthesia Association. The award reflects the Association’s ongoing dedication to promoting high-quality research and innovation. The committee were exceptionally impressed by the high quality and diverse range of projects and studies submitted.
