Under the rural revitalization strategy, rural cultural space construction is crucial but faces challenges such as population outflow, dilapidation of traditional buildings, and lack of systematic design. Digital media art offers new opportunities to transform these spaces through immersive and interactive experiences. This study focuses on two key issues: using digital media art to reconstruct rural cultural space functions and experiences and balancing traditional context protection with digital innovation. It identifies problems like unreasonable space planning and weak cultural themes and proposes optimization strategies in spatial narrative, interactive design, cultural live transmission, and ecological adaptability. Empirical analysis in Xidi Village shows that digital media art projects enhance tourist participation, cultural identity among villagers, and economic benefits. This study confirms the value of digital media art in rural cultural space construction, offering a new path for rural revitalization and reference for similar projects.
