The purpose of the study is to conceptualize an interdisciplinary approach to the development of oral speech competence among Vietnamese philology students who study Russian outside their natural language environment. The integration of linguistic, cultural, psychological, pedagogical and digital resources functioning as complementary elements of a unified learning strategy is analyzed. The empirical basis of the study was the results of a survey of 49 students of the Faculty of Russian and Korean Languages of the Hanoi University of Business and Technology. The main barriers in mastering oral speech were language difficulties and psychological factors. Respondents also noted the importance of digital resources to overcome these difficulties; the most popular mobile applications are Busuu and HelloTalk. Based on the theoretical and empirical analysis of the analysis, the application of interdisciplinary principles in the formation of the oral speech competence of philology students is substantiated. Within the framework of the research, the key principles of this approach are formulated and practical recommendations for the organization of blended learning are proposed. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the systematic justification of the integration of linguistic, psychological, intercultural and digital components into the process of preparing future Russian as a foreign language teachers for the development of oral speech outside the natural language environment. The results of the survey confirm the expediency of actively using digital tools and communication practices in overcoming the identified difficulties.
