With rapid developments in digital HR solutions, wellness initiatives, data-driven decision-making, and remote work rules, HR has changed from a typical administrative function to a major driver of innovation, transformation, and competitiveness. Kannur, a district in northern Kerala, have an economic contributor for its strong export market for products like sarees, cotton fabrics, home furnishings, handloom and textile industry, traditional craftsmanship in brass and bell metal, in spite of this potential, HR practices in the region endure underexplored, with organizations adopting equally modern and traditional methods. The study aims to assess the impact of technology on HR processes and employee satisfaction and to explore innovative HR practices and their role in enhancing workforce management. A descriptive cum analytical study was undertaken to perform the study. 149 respondents were chosen to collect the response using convenience sampling technique. The findings revealed that there is an association between the type of employment contract and job role performed, and also technology-improved HR Processes and educational qualifications. Employee learning and development is the most followed HR practice. The future of HR and workforce management will be driven by remote work options, framing the HR policies by considering the organisation and employees, no gender discrimination, strengthen therecruitment process, generate team spirit and encourage flexible work arrangements etc., are some of the suggestions provided.
