The gap in access and quality of education in Indonesia remains a major challenge in achieving equitable national education. The Kampus Mengajar program was introduced as a strategic effort to optimize the role of university students in supporting the learning process in schools and addressing limitations in educational resources. This study aims to systematically analyze the contributions of Kampus Mengajar students to improving education quality, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and character development. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining 367 published documents from the last five years. Data were collected through academic database searches, article selection based on inclusion criteria, and analyzed using bibliometric and content analysis approaches. The findings reveal a consistent increase in publications related to this topic, peaking in 2024 with 119 documents. Thematic analysis indicates that the program positively contributes to enhancing students’ literacy and numeracy skills, strengthening character development, and supporting schools in administrative management and technological adaptation. For participating university students, the program provides not only practical teaching experience but also the development of pedagogical competence, leadership skills, and professionalism. The study concludes that Kampus Mengajar serves as a strategic platform that supports national education development and can serve as a reference for policy initiatives aimed at strengthening student roles in the education sector.
