Due to the fact that competition is becoming more aggressive across the globe, the industrial sector must be concerned with quality, efficiency, and sustainability. The lean manufacturing approach to strategy involves producing more and minimally wasting. This study aims at investigating the impact of the various lean manufacturing techniques on waste reduction in factories. In particular, it will pay attention to 5S, TPM, VSM, kaizen and kanban. The study examines these technologies as a means of reducing the seven groups of muda (waste) caused by manufacturing processes by critically evaluating the available literature and case study analysis of the industry. The problem that arises when individuals attempt to use lean is also examined, although the research is also identifying the most significant issues that influence the effectiveness of the strategy. We believe that the findings will reveal how the lean technologies will be able to enhance the current production and run it more efficiently and utilize the resources it has.
