Here we present preliminary results from the search and study of variable stars based on space-based observation data from the TESS mission, focusing on the field of the open star cluster NGC 1039. The light curves of various types of variable stars located within the cluster field are analyzed. Using data from the Gaia DR3 release, we determined the probable members and fundamental parameters of the cluster, as well as assessed the likely membership of the identified 14 variable star candidates in the field NGC1039.
