Abstract

The article is devoted to the regional aspect in the study of the Great Patriotic War using the example of Pavlovsky District of Krasnodar Region. The work is based on materials found in the Center for Documentation of Contemporary History of Krasnodar Region, which allow us to compare information about people of the era with information about the contradictory political and socio-economic processes that took place during this global confrontation. The author concludes that in the extreme conditions of the Great Patriotic War, residents of the Pavlovsky District showed dedication and will to achieve Victory, fought bravely at the fronts and in the Stepnoy partisan detachment, used traditional mutual assistance and joined forces to overcome difficulties. The role of district party and Soviet bodies, which skillfully mobilized resources and organized the restoration of the national economy, is noted.
