This study investigates student and teacher perceptions of using augmented reality (AR) in the classroom and evaluates AR's impact on student cognition and academic performance. Research on its use for educational purposes is at the cradle stage, requiring more investigations. To provide more insights into the efficacy of AR in improving students' learning outcomes, this study utilized a mixed-method research methodology to collect data from 88 participants. The researchers gathered and assessed data to examine the participants' viewpoints on utilizing augmented reality. The study's findings indicate that while research affirms the efficacy of augmented reality (AR) in enhancing students' learning experiences, both students and teachers acknowledged the presence of several pitfalls. Nonetheless, this study suggests that using augmented reality (AR) may result in positive learning outcomes.
