A practical one-pot, tetramolecular, three-component reaction has been developed for the synthesis of allylic sulfone derivatives. This efficient protocol employs readily available quinoline (ketone) derivatives, sodium sulfinates, and paraformaldehyde, furnishing allylic sulfones in high yields. The reaction features a broad substrate scope, excellent tolerance for diverse functional groups, and scalability, offering a versatile and sustainable approach for the construction of structurally diverse allylic sulfones.
