Purpose: This study examined the relationships between nursing informatics competency, clinical practice self efficacy, and grit as influencing factors on clinical practice readiness among nursing students.Methods: Participants were 197 fourth-year nursing students who had completed the first-semester coursework, at three nursing colleges in Changwon City. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression.Results: The average score for nursing informatics competency was 3.00±0.35 clinical practice self efficacy was 7.84±1.33, grit was 3.38±0.53, and clinical practice readiness was 2.91±0.31. Significant positive correlations were found between nursing informatics competency and clinical practice self efficacy (r=.33, pppppppp<.001), with an explanatory power of 29.0%.Conclusion: To enhance clinical readiness practice, students should set clear goals and establish structured plans, implementing them step-by-step according to their academic level to build confidence in their clinical performance. In addition, by strengthening grit, nursing students can sustain continuous interest, motivation, and effort toward nursing practice readiness thereby effectively demonstrating their competences as new graduate nurses. Therefore, it is suggested that nursing should incorporate targeted educational strategies and develop interventions that enhance self efficacy and grit in clinical practice.
