Summary Agritourism in Sri Lanka combines agriculture with tourism to create economic opportunities for rural communities while preserving cultural heritage. This study, conducted in Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage site, explores how storytelling enhances visitor experiences by providing a deeper connection to local agricultural practices. The sector faces challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, low domestic awareness, and financial constraints. Despite these obstacles, storytelling proves valuable in engaging tourists, fostering cultural preservation, and driving sustainable economic growth for both farmers and communities.
