n the modern period the activity of national and global business entities in the global creative industries sector is significantly increasing. The creative industries of the Ukrainian economy will play a significant role in the implementation of international and national programs for the country's post-war recovery and ensuring economic growth. The reveal the essential characteristics, types and role of creative industries in the development of international economic relations in the context of modern global transformations is the purpose of the article. Creative industries should be defined as those types of social economic activity whose main resources are creative resources that are transformed into creative goods and services that have social value 19, value 11 and high potential for creating added value. Creative industries as a complex object of theoretical and applied research in scientific sources are already recognized. Scientific works in economics, sociology, management, etc is devoted to their analysis As for the analysis of the creative industries sector and its role in the development of international economic relations, this area of research has not yet acquired a systemic character. It is necessary to distinguish between segments of purely cultural (artistic) and intellectual-innovative creative industries. In scientific research and official classifications this segments of the creative sector not yet been reflected. Creative industries, the product of which is artistic and has cultural value, are purely cultural creative industries. Creative industries, the product of which is intellectual and/or innovative, has intellectual/innovative value, are intellectual-innovative creative industries. The use of products of intellectual and innovative creative industries as resources in the production process is a necessary final link in the public recognition of their usefulness, the formation of their value, cost and added value. The creative sector, its state, structure, and development in a certain period have a direct impact on international economic relations: foreign trade, international movement of capital and labor, international production, innovative cultural cooperation. The indirect influence of the creative sector on international economic relations is due to the fact that creative goods and services are resources sectors of the world economy, factors of their innovative development.
