I attended the ECME Pre-conference Seminar 2024 for the first time and the experience has impacted me positively, personally and professionally. In this article, I discuss my impressions of the seminar as a Ph.D. candidate and summarize the overall influence this has had both personally and professionally. I have more clarity for what could lie ahead in my research journey post-Ph.D., inspired by the journeys of others in my field. In addition, the quality of the presentations broadened my ideas and understandings of key areas within early childhood music education.
