Children represent a highly vulnerable group to environmental degradation and climate-related risks, making early environmental education crucial for building long-term sustainability awareness. This study examines green digital literacy as an inclusive policy innovation to strengthen children’s environmental awareness through digital media–based learning. A systematic literature review was conducted using peer-reviewed sources indexed in Scopus from 2015 to 2024, applying search terms associated with digital literacy, environmental sustainability, and child-focused education. The findings show that integrating environmental education with digital platforms enables interactive, accessible, and context-based learning for children. The study proposes a Green Digital Literacy Policy Model consisting of two core components: (1) a green education program delivered through both digital and non-digital learning tools, and a climate and environmental literacy certification framework. Digital learning activities may include mobile learning systems, gamified environmental applications, nature-based digital simulations, and integrated environmental awareness platforms. This study highlights the importance of government-driven, inclusive, and collaborative digital literacy strategies to foster environmentally responsible behaviors among future generations.
