Endocrine disorders are a significant global problem, as they affect not only the systemic condition of the body, but also the dental health of patients. The most common endocrine disorders associated with changes in the oral cavity are diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, hormonal changes during menopause, and adrenal gland dysfunction. Endocrine diseases have a complex multifactorial effect on the oral cavity, altering both the structure of hard tooth tissues and the condition of the mucous membrane, saliva, and periodontium. This necessitates an updated comprehensive analysis of current evidence and its practical significance for dentistry.
