This paper proposes an ontological model in which space and time are considered not as independent dimensions but as a unified entity—spacetime—possessing its own structure and finite tempo of actualization. It is shown that the fundamental constant c (the speed of light in vacuum) expresses not the limiting velocity of object motion but the maximum tempo at which degrees of freedom can transition into a stable state and be incorporated into the causal structure. This tempo is determined by the dynamic balance between the emergence of distinctions and their fixation. To clarify the ontological status of this limit, an isomorphic metaphor of virtual reality with limited hardware rendering rate is employed.
