Assessment of the extent of previous endoscopic sinus surgery using the ACCESS score in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis referred to tertiary care rhinologic clinics.
Key Points
This study aims to evaluate the variability in the extent of previous endoscopic sinus surgeries among patients with chronic rhinosinusitis.
Assessment of previous surgical history using the ACCESS score
Patients referred to tertiary rhinologic clinics for evaluation
Comparison of surgical history regardless of the number of previous surgeries
Significant heterogeneity found in the extent of prior surgeries
Variation exists despite the history of multiple surgeries among patients
Abstract
Our study underscores a large heterogeneity in extent of prior ESS among patients referred to tertiary rhinologic centers for diffuse CRS, regardless of the number of previous surgeries.
