AbstractIndian Knowledge Systems represent a diverse collection of traditional insights, cultivated over extensive periods through observation, practical experience, and spiritual inquiry. Current challenges involve interpr etational complexities, data limitations, cultural context sensitivities, and intellectual property considerations. The advancement of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning offers a distinctive opportunity to merge the practical and philosophical dimensions of IKS with data-centric and computationally intensive methodologies. This paper explores the intersection of IKS with AI/ML, highlighting how time-honored Indian concepts from fields like medicine, agriculture, linguistics, astronomy, and logic can enrich and guide contemporary technological advancements.
