Does AI displace specialization, or redefine it? As Artificial Intelligence dissolves traditional disciplinary silos, this paper argues that specialization is not being erased, but repositioned as the indispensable source of intellectual value. This work examines: The irreversible dissolution of disciplinary boundaries through AI-driven translation and recombination The continued necessity of deep specialization as the extractor of high-fidelity truth The emergence of Transdisciplinary Intelligence: a new sovereign capacity that orchestrates specialized knowledge across broader systems with intellectual humility and strategic oversight Rather than advocating technological determinism, this paper proposes a cognitive framework for maintaining Intellectual Sovereignty in the AI era. Note: This work serves as a conceptual sequel to the author’s prior paper, “Economic Autophagy,” extending its analysis from economic structures to epistemic ones.
