Modern science is interested in studying the trends in the development of South Korean media. The subject of the study is the dance survival shows of the South Korean television channel Mnet. The goal is to explore the features of the Street Woman Fighter and World of Street Woman Fighter shows. The research is based on methods of critical analysis of trends, development features, and the reasons for the popularity of the South Korean shows Street Woman Fighter and World of Street Woman Fighter. The comparative historical approach allowed us to analyze the development of Street Woman Fighter and the entry into the global media market with the World of Street Woman Fighter project. We also turned to the method of content analysis of South Korean and Russian media texts and media products. As a result of the work, the key features and reasons for the popularity of Street Woman Fighter are analyzed, the strategy and consequences of entering the global media market of World of Street Woman Fighter are studied. The approaches and strategies of the South Korean government are aimed at further developing the Hallyu phenomenon, expanding the influence of Korean culture, and exporting media products. The activities of South Korean entertainment media, in particular the South Korean cable TV channel Mnet, are aimed at a youth audience, and many strategies can be applied in the Russian media market to target a youth audience. The novelty lies in the fact that the media projects of the Mnet TV channel have hardly been subjected to systematic research. In this regard, it became necessary to study the features and reasons for the popularity of the dance shows Street Woman Fighter and World of Street Woman Fighter among the global youth audience with different cultures, education, languages. In the process of studying the Korean wave and the features of the innovative development of the Street Woman Fighter and World of Street Woman Fighter shows, the following conclusions were drawn: the first season of Street Woman Fighter became popular because of the original theme, as the style of street dancers differs from the usual images of idols, standing out from the rest of the South Korean survival shows; the World of Street Woman Fighter is aimed at an international audience. These projects promote a healthy lifestyle and sports activities.
