This presentation explores the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance bilingual education, with a particular focus on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). It examines how AI-driven tools can support teachers in lesson planning, resource creation, formative assessment, and language scaffolding, while also fostering more personalised and inclusive learning experiences for students. Grounded in current research and international policy frameworks, the presentation draws on the UNESCO AI Competency Frameworks for Teachers and Students and the AI-TPACK model to discuss the pedagogical, ethical, and professional competences required for the responsible integration of AI in bilingual and multilingual educational contexts. Practical classroom-oriented examples are included to illustrate how AI can function as a teaching assistant without replacing pedagogical expertise or critical teacher judgement. The presentation was delivered as part of the III Jornada de Desarrollo Profesional 2025–2026, organised by the Asociación Enseñanza Bilingüe (Spain), and reflects an ongoing line of research on bilingual education, teacher education, and educational innovation at the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
