The growing need for safety and security within residential and commercial indoor environments has led to increased interest in intelligent monitoring systems. Incidents such as fire accidents, gas leakage, and unauthorized human intrusion pose serious risks to life and property. Conventional safety systems such as fixed smoke detectors, gas sensors, and CCTV cameras operate from static locations, which limit their coverage and effectiveness. This paper presents a Robot Based Smart Home Security System designed to provide continuous indoor monitoring through a mobile robotic platform. The proposed system integrates an Arduino Uno microcontroller with multiple sensors including a gas and smoke sensor, flame sensor, ultrasonic sensor, and PIR motion sensor. The robot autonomously navigates indoor environments, detects potential threats in real time, avoids obstacles, and generates immediate audible alerts. An ESP32-CAM module is incorporated to enable live video streaming for visual monitoring and verification. Experimental results demonstrate that the system is reliable, user-friendly, and suitable as an academic prototype for smart home security applications.
