We derive gauge structure as the unique encoding response to lens obstructions, defined as non-unique but admissible local representations of coherent structure. Lens obstructions represent redundancy of description rather than inconsistency or termination. We show that any admissible resolution of such redundancy must factor through automorphisms of encoding fibers, leading uniquely to gauge structure. Gauge transformations are identified as automorphisms of representation rather than symmetries of underlying reality, and gauge fixing is shown to be inherently non-canonical. In smooth realizations, redundancy bookkeeping is realized by bundle connections distinct from gravitational connections. The analysis clarifies the structural origin of gauge universality without postulating fields or interactions.
