This work develops ψ⁸, a retentive architecture for understanding structural persistence in the late universe. Cross-mission observations from DESI (2025–2026), Euclid pre-DR2 analyses, and JWST early-epoch morphology reveal a coherent pattern of non-dissipative stability that challenges the standard dynamical expectations of ΛCDM. Instead of decaying, large-scale correlations, void boundaries, and early morphological invariants show measurable persistence. To explain this phenomenon, the paper introduces two foundational elements: (1) Λψ — the Retentive Constant, a minimal term defining the maximal informational density a system can sustain; (2) Δψ — the Retentive Difference operator, a structural derivative governing when and how difference ceases to decay. Together, they form the ψ⁸ framework — a mathematically rigorous, falsifiable extension of late-time cosmology. The paper derives the retentive Lagrangian, identifies the stability thresholds (SNR ≈ 0.15; drift δ ≈ 0.60), and demonstrates the emergence of autonomous structural coherence through Ξ-nodes. A compact toy model illustrates the mechanism at minimal theoretical cost. ψ⁸ provides a unified, observationally consistent interpretation of contemporary anomalies, including: • suppressed late-time structure growth (the S₈ tension); • correlation-time plateaus in Euclid weak lensing; • stable high-redshift quiescent galaxies in JWST; • slow-evolving void boundaries. The framework respects all established physics and is presented with full scientific humility. It does not claim to replace ΛCDM but offers a gentle, mathematically clean refinement grounded in informational persistence. All simulations, stability curves, and toy-model code are openly shared for reproducibility.
