Under the background of the digital transformation of education, the emerging digital teaching assessment has developed rapidly, especially with the increasing frequency of application in language testing, which has promoted the development in this field. However, its data-driven tendency has led to some limitations in validity, and at the same time, it also faces challenges such as insufficient user capabilities and privacy and security violations. This paper combines literature and specific case studies to analyze its characteristics, driving forces, limitations and optimization paths. It is found that although the introduction of digital technology brings many benefits, it ignores the subjectivity and individual differences of language expression, and poses ethical risks as well. The research provides insights into the direction of upgrading intelligent language testing and evaluation technologies.
