Abstract While the turn to Rosa Luxemburg by international legal scholars in the context of contemporary political crises is laudable, this article lays out the potential pitfalls of such academic appropriation. We highlight the political commitments central to Luxemburg’s life and thought and argue that these should anchor any ‘Luxemburg-ian’ turn.
