Abstract Introduction Sexual satisfaction is linked to one’s physical and mental health. However, when looking at sexuality from a feminine perspective, it is limited by existing taboos and knowledge. Objectives Assess the sexual satisfaction of women that were seen by Gynecology and Obstetrics in Southern Brazil. Methods Cross-sectional study involving 300 women seen by a Gynecology and Obstetrics outpatient clinic in Southern Brazil between February and March 2022. The data was collected using the Female Sexual Quotient (QS-F), associated to a sociodemographic questionnaire, whilst the bivariate analyses were done through the Pearson’s chi-squared test or by the Fisher’s exact test, choosing a value of p 0.05. Results From the total score given by the QS-F, 52.6% of the subjects of this study, were found to be satisfied with their sexual life. Nonetheless, the bivariate analysis between sexual satisfaction and total score (p 0.0001) found that 20.4% of the women that were satisfied “most of the time,” could in fact show a degree of sexual dysfunction (total score 60). Moreover, the links between sexual satisfaction and marital status, use of condom, use of medicine and physical illness show statistical significance (p 0.05) in all analyses. Conclusion Women of fertile age, single, that use condom and/or other contraceptive methods, that do not use continuous prescribed drugs and that do not experience chronic diseases scored the highest in the Sexual Satisfaction Score.
