Linear electric machine (LEM)-based gravity energy storage (GES) exhibits significant application potential in ensuring stable grid operation and promoting clean, low-carbon energy transformation. To meet the high thrust density requirements for LEMs in GES systems, an improved scheme for high thrust density in permanent magnet vernier linear electric machine (PMVLEM) based on high saturation magnetic flux density materials from the perspective of materials was proposed. Through finite element analysis, thrust performance under four different saturation magnetic flux density materials is comparatively analyzed. The results demonstrate that the proposed high thrust density improvement scheme for PMVLEM based on high-saturation magnetic density materials is feasible and effective.
