AbstractThis study evaluates the content and features of 15 university library websites in Karnataka, India, using content analysis. The objective is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of these websites and inform strategies for improvement. A comprehensive checklist was developed to collect data on general information, online resources, research support tools, Web 2.0 applications, and services offered by these libraries. The study found that while most libraries have functional websites, there is scope for improvement in areas such as dedicated library websites, collection details, and virtual library tours. The findings highlight the need for libraries to enhance their online presence, update their websites regularly, and provide user-friendly features to support academic activities. By identifying areas for improvement, this study aims to contribute to the development of more effective and user-friendly university library websites in Karnataka, India.
