This preprint develops emergence as a physical mechanism rather than a metaphorical or purely descriptive concept. Emergence is treated as the necessary resolution of a system that has reached a state of orientational breakdown, as introduced in “The Point Without Orientation: Absolute Zero as a Neutral Physical Reference”. The work explicitly avoids premature mathematization and formal closure, arguing that early formalization imposes artificial rigidity and obscures the physical process by which new structure is generated. Emergence is not modeled as stochastic fluctuation or statistical novelty, but as a deterministic physical response to incompatibility within existing configurations. This framework establishes emergence as a pre-formal physical process that precedes stabilization, structure, and mathematical representation. It provides the conceptual bridge between a neutral, non-oriented reference state and the formation of coherent physical systems, preparing the ground for subsequent work on galactic formation and continuous cosmological creation.
