Abstract

This investigation analyzes a future scenario of a fully electrified transport system in Ethiopia by 2050 using the OSeMOSYS energy system modeling framework. The study evaluates energy demand, technology pathways, and emissions reduction potential compared with a business-as-usual scenario. Results highlight the role of electric vehicles and renewable electricity in achieving low-carbon transport development in Ethiopia.
