Nanopesticides, fabricated by nanotechnology to stabilize pesticide active ingredients in formulations and/or dispersion systems at the nanoscale, are recognized as advanced alternatives to conventional pesticides. Smart and sustainable polymers are widely used as nanocarriers and additives for nanopesticides in the development of technological innovation for green agriculture. This article reviews the recent progress in the study of smart and sustainable polymers for nanopesticides, including a brief introduction on artificial intelligence‐assisted technology in polymer design, followed by an emphasis on polymer‐based nanopesticides for insecticidal, fungicidal, and herbicidal applications. The opportunities and challenges in the interdisciplinary fields of polymer materials and agricultural sciences are also discussed.
