This transformation of abstract thought into a functioning political system represents the greatness of Shivaji Maharaj. Such historical phenomena are rare, occurring only a handful of times in human history. The struggle led by Shivaji Maharaj stands among the most extraordinary and authentic examples of resistance and state-building.The originality of Shivaji Maharaj’s historical role, combined with his context-sensitive thinking rooted in place and time, ensures that his life and ideals will continue to influence humanity far into the future. Although born in the seventeenth century, Shivaji Maharaj articulated a universal philosophy grounded in human values.
