Abstract

This paper examines and emphasizes the critical role of women in combating climate change. Climate change occurs at different scales and intensities, affecting societies unevenly across regions and communities. Vulnerable populations—particularly women, children, the elderly, and the sick—experience its impacts most acutely. To comprehensively understand women’s participation in climate action, this study draws on government reports, academic literature, and peer-reviewed journal articles. The paper further underscores that safeguarding vulnerable groups is essential for mitigating the impacts of climate change and for recognizing women as key agents in addressing the ongoing climate crisis.
