The aim of this paper is to acquire a deep knowledge regarding the origin and migration of Akas according to their myths and legends. These myths and legends attributing their origin, to some supernatural circumstances or to some supernatural or mythological characters. In tribal societies the oral traditions play a significant role in order to know the history of the tribes as the tribes generally lacks written records. It acts as a tool to depict the clear picture of and migration of the tribes. It provides insight into the beliefs, values and cultural practices of earliest times. By studying myths and legends, we get a better understanding of socio-cultural norms of societies. Every ancient society have creation and recreation oral traditions that passed down and keep alive through the passing of time by words.
