This Data Management Plan (DMP) establishes a comprehensive framework for data governance throughout the CCRI Knowledge Hub project lifecycle (Task 1.5). The document outlines systematic protocols for data collection, processing, sharing, storage, access, and protection whilst ensuring strict adherence to GDPR compliance and ethical standards. Additionally, it addresses ethics management, covering legal and normative ethical challenges encountered during project implementation. Our systematic approach has demonstrated data integrity through centralised management via SharePoint (Office 365) and standardised data collection protocols across all project deliverables. The implementation of our four-category data classification system has streamlined data processing whilst maintaining regulatory compliance. Lessons learnt include the importance of early stakeholder engagement in data governance decisions and the value of consistent anonymisation procedures across all project activities. Technical challenges in data integration across multiple project partners were addressed by implementing unified storage solutions and access protocols. Moreover, we have established robust data security measures including restricted access controls and comprehensive anonymisation procedures. Standardised templates for data collection have been deployed across all project tasks, ensuring consistency and quality. Ethics management protocols have been integrated into all data processing activities, with particular attention to informed consent procedures and data minimisation principles. Regular updates to this DMP will reflect evolving project needs and regulatory requirements throughout the remaining project phases.
