This poster presents a comprehensive analysis of survey metadata compiled through the Ethnic and Migrant Minorities (EMM) Survey Registry, a FAIR-enabling tool developed under the COST Action 16111 ETHMIGSURVEYDATA, with support from the H2020 SSHOC project, the ANR FAIRETHMIGQUANT project, and the CHIST-ERA OPENMIN project. The Registry encompasses metadata from over 2,000 national and subnational surveys conducted since 2000 across 34 European countries, all focused on the integration and inclusion of EMMs. Our analysis examines the strengths and gaps in survey research on ethnic and migrant minorities (EMMs) conducted between 2000 and 2021. We focus on key dimensions such as survey methodology and sampling strategies/designs, the geographical and temporal coverage, the coverage of various subpopulations, the thematic focus and the survey data/documentation availability and accessibility. We conclude with a set of actionable recommendations aimed at improving future survey efforts on EMM integration, promoting better coordination in data production, and enhancing cross-national comparability and methodological standards in this domain.
