Manufacturing plants in Nigeria have adopted various systems to enhance productivity and efficiency. However, there is a need for methodological evaluation to understand adoption rates and their impact. The study employs panel data analysis to evaluate the adoption of manufacturing plant systems. A fixed effects model will be used to control for unobserved heterogeneity across plants over time. Panel-data estimation reveals that investment in training staff is a significant factor driving system adoption, with a proportion exceeding 60% among surveyed plants. The findings suggest that effective training programmes are crucial for successful system implementation and can significantly boost productivity. Manufacturing companies should prioritise investing in employee training to enhance the effectiveness of adopted systems. The maintenance outcome was modelled as Y₈ₓ=₀+₁X₈ₓ+uᵢ+₈ₓ, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
