District hospitals in Ghana face significant challenges in risk reduction due to resource limitations and inadequate data systems. A systematic literature review was conducted using Bayesian hierarchical models to analyse empirical studies related to district hospitals in Ghana. The use of Bayesian hierarchical models provided robust insights into the effectiveness of district hospital systems in Ghana for reducing health risks. Policy makers should consider implementing these models to enhance resource allocation and risk management strategies.
