The research paper was focused on the effects of banditry, kidnappings and terrorism on education and agriculture in Kogi state. Survey research design was employed in this study while data was collected from primary sources. The sample size of 400 was selected using the Taro Yamane formula. The sample size was then shared within the wards in Yagba West LGA, where 200 respondents were selected in each ward. Stratified random sampling technique was adopted in the study. The paper utilized a simple stratified random sampling technique to collect and analyze the results from the study area. The result shows the respondents’ Attitude of Rural dwellers toward the activities of bandit, kidnapping and insecurity in Kogi. More positive reactions were observed on bad leadership as source of insecurity in Yagba West with the mean values of (5.80± 2.60), among others. The study recommends that the three arms of government should be allowed to efficiently perform their functions without influences. Governments need to be proactive in resolving security issues and threats by modern methods of intelligence gathering and sharing intelligence, preparation, logistics, encouragement, and the implementation of advanced technology to address security challenges in Yagba West of Kogi state.
