This study explores the regional economic blocs in Africa, focusing on Ethiopia as a case study within the broader field of African studies. A qualitative approach will be employed, drawing on existing literature and secondary data sources to analyse the socio-economic conditions within Ethiopia and its neighboring regions. This study underscores the importance of harmonized policies and mutual trust for effective regional integration. Further research is recommended to explore these insights at larger scales within Africa. Policy makers should prioritise fostering economic cooperation, reducing trade barriers, and enhancing infrastructure connectivity between member states.
