This book reviews a legal analysis of vocational training programmes aimed at empowering urban youth in Abidjan, focusing on economic empowerment efforts in Equatorial Guinea. A critical analysis of existing laws, regulations, and policy documents related to vocational education in Equatorial Guinea was conducted. Case study methods were applied to analyse specific training workshops and their outcomes for urban youth. There is a notable trend towards increasing government investment in vocational training programmes, with over 50% of surveyed participants indicating improved employability skills post-training. The legal environment supporting these initiatives has room for improvement, particularly in terms of ensuring equitable access to resources and addressing regional disparities. Recommendation includes strengthening enforcement mechanisms and expanding training programmes to underserved urban areas.
