Community-Based Maternal Healthcare Services Coverage in Somali Border Regions of Kenya: A Review

Community-based maternal healthcare services play a crucial role in improving maternal health outcomes in resource-limited settings. A comprehensive literature review was conducted using databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar. Community health workers were found to cover approximately 75% of the villages in the study area. However, there is a significant variability in service availability across different regions. The coverage levels suggest room for improvement, particularly in underserved areas. Increased funding and targeted interventions are recommended to enhance maternal healthcare services in Somali border regions.
