The study explores business practices in different regions of Egypt to understand regional variations and their socioeconomic impacts. A quantitative survey approach was employed to gather data from businesses operating in Cairo, Alexandria, and the Nile Delta. Respondents were selected using a stratified random sampling method. Businesses in the Nile Delta region exhibited higher adoption of digital technologies compared to other regions (65% vs. 40%), highlighting technological disparities. The findings suggest that regional economic conditions significantly influence business practices, with Cairo and Alexandria showing more traditional approaches due to their historical importance as financial hubs. Investment in digital infrastructure should be prioritised in the Nile Delta to bridge the gap with other regions. Policy makers are encouraged to support small businesses across all regions.
